Twenty ledgers made during the workshop with GW Veterans at George Washington University, 2012.

While the ledger traditionally records monetary transactions and amount summaries of organizations, Peace Paper Project has developed a new kind of ledger. This ledger records the exchange of ideas, history, and experience through veterans organizations on college campuses.

Whenever we work with veterans or universities, we make a point of creating a special book for their student-veteran group, so that they may pass their stories on to current and future students. From its conception as paper made from uniform, to its completion with names and writings of the group, the ledger is a collaboration and a commemoration.
